The Roll Mode software adds the ability for you to perform measurements which exceed the oscilloscope’s internal buffer. This allows the 520 series oscilloscopes to act as a data logger with sampling rates from 50 S/s to 5 Ms/s when connected via USB 2.0 or 50 S/s to 250 kS/s when connected via USB 1.1. The measured data is stored directly to the connected computer with capacity limited only by the computers hard disk size. The measured data is visible during the acquisition and can also be viewed using the Roll Mode viewer.
The Roll Mode software consists of two applications:
- Data acquisition
- Data viewer
Please note, for sampling rates higher than 500 kS/s we would recommend using a dual core PC.
