The American Auto Engineer Association (SAE) separates the serial signals into three classes (A, B and C) according to the transmission speed.
Class A contains TTP/A (time Triggered Protocol/A) and LIN(Local Interconnect Network),the transmission speed is lower than FLEXRAY.
Class B contains J1850, VAN and low speed CAN.
Class C contains TTP/C, FLEXRAY and high-speed CAN(ISO11898-2). It is used in relative parts of Auto safety or high-speed and more stable systems, such as the power system. The transmission speed is from 125Kbps up to 10Mbps.
FLEXARY is a high-speed transmission Bus (10Mbps per channel), it has the characteristic of time-sharing multiple-work and owns the functions of high and stable transmission. FLEXRAY is usually used for newer generation of auto control systems.
FLEXRAY 2.1A Bus Protocol plug-in for logic analyzers Zeroplus LAP-A, LAP-B and LAP-C series.
